Thank you, thank you God, Dogpatch is finally having a real winter unlike the last few nonwinters. The mountains are all snow blinding white and native Dog Patcher's are once again remembering how to use the snow shovel and snow blower ... plus navigating the snow and ice when driving. The area saw record crowds over the holidays recreating their little fannies off and spending lots of dollars locally. Merchants, resturaunts and motels all had their happy faces on and the past few years of abysmal winter business was just a faint memory.
Fishing here has been affected of course by the weather but I aint complaining ... the break and rest was well worth it. Holiday time with friends and family was very much enjoyed. The Upper Sac, the only trout river nearby that's open for those of you who don't know the regs .... believe me they are out there ... has been up and down so not much to report on it. On the other hand the steelhead fishing has been decent for those who understand the ways of these beast. The Klamath is fishing good and lots of fresh fish are showing ... winter steelheading at its best.
If you have any further questions please call the shop and when you are in the area stop in and bug Bob.
